My husband and I had often dreamed about celebrating our 25th anniversary in Italy. We had taken a family vacation there several years ago, and it is a very special place for us. Because of the pandemic, our plans were obviously restricted. Not only were we unable to travel - we weren't even able to celebrate the occasion in our favourite Italian restaurant.

Twist Events managed to recreate the magic of Italy for us in our own home. Sarah and Marie transformed our living room into a rustic Tuscan scene, complete with delicate flowers, twinkling lights, Italian herbs, a bar with customized cocktails, a romantic playlist and photos from the past. The kids were delighted and amazed with the transformation of the space. It was filled with personal touches that warmed our hearts.

We are so grateful to the Twist team. Not only did they salvage this special occasion for us - they made it our best anniversary yet.

Our son Jack graduated from Queen's University this year, but due to the pandemic, was unable to have an in-person graduation.
Sarah and Marie helped us to mark this important occasion with style and elegance. They also added personal touches (a cap and gown for photos, customized decorations with the Queen's logo) that helped re-create the school spirit that was so important to Jack, but would have otherwise been missing from the evening.
We are so grateful to them for making it a night to remember!

I used Twist Events to plan a special backyard Grade 8 graduation for my daughter and her best friend during the Covid 19 pandemic. They did a fantastic job of recommending special touches for each of the girls (pictures, favourite school memories, graduation yard signs, graduation gowns etc). The decor was beautiful with balloons, white carpet for the actual ceremony, lovely pale pink overall theme, sweet trays including mini donuts and cake jars. They managed all the details from start to finish which allowed us to enjoy our daughter’s special day. They are extremely professional and detail oriented.

Twist Events perfectly planned, organized and delivered our wedding celebration. They took all the potential stress out for us. They accommodated us, made excellent suggestions and created a beautiful, warm space for the party. They are highly competent, caring professionals. Clearly it shows that they love what they do and they do it so well. Their attention to detail and methodical way of organizing is superb. I would hire them again in a heart beat. Our guests felt the ambiance that was created in the room and very much appreciated the presentation of food and drink. They were also a pleasure to work with and rather quickly we knew we had made the right decision.....and never looked back. They also coordinated the design of our guest book and final book of pictures. Could not have done it without them.

This fun-filled evening was made possible through the diligent efforts and creativity of this amazing team. Under their leadership the venue was transformed into a unique Parisian marketplace with delicious French food stations, wandering musicians and entertainment and a silent and live auction. They excel at listening to the needs of a client and are incredible creative problem solvers. Throughout the entire planning stages They were organized, prepared, imaginative and fun to work with!

We have been to a number of events organized by Marie and Sarah and were always impressed. Our challenge to them was to deliver an engagement party for our daughter who is being married overseas. Knowing she had limited numbers we could invite based on the venue she chose in Portugal and that many of our friends and family would be unable to make the trip we wanted to celebrate the occasion while she and her fiance were in Toronto this past summer. Our daughter made it clear she did not want a "wedding reception" in Toronto. That was being planned for Portugal. She wanted it to be "casual" - we wanted it to be "classic". We all wanted it to be in a cool venue that could accommodate all the people we wanted to invite and most importantly - have fun. Lots of opportunity for people to mingle and meet friends and family that they wouldn't necessarily know, great food and drinks, we had some ideas around entertainment and 'games' to get people to meet and of course we had a budget. They figured it all out. Recommended locations, options for food and drink and handled every detail about invitations, flowers, the games you name it they did it! Exactly what we wanted. Everyone who attended loved it!

Twist Events planned our Holiday Party and it was a huge success. They created a fantastic atmosphere with a rustic theme complete with beautiful signage for our front entrance, cocktail, buffet and dessert tables. They created a personalized party logo and handled décor, ambiance, food prep, a signature cocktail with labels in our holiday theme, gorgeous flowers, candles, serving dishes, drink tubs, cocktail tables and stemware. Everything looked so pretty. The planning part was a lot of fun with their great decor ideas and amazing appetizer and crowd-favourite food suggestions. The special touches and surprises were the best part; beautiful, funny and creative elements that were born out of our conversations prior to the event. I especially appreciated the full inventory of how the set up and evening would transpire ahead of the event – it took all the stress and time-consuming planning away from me – so that I could fully enjoy the evening feeling at ease that everything was taken care of.
I would highly recommend Twist Events for your at-home event. It was a gorgeous evening.

The girls at Twist Events went above and beyond what I had envisioned for my baby shower. The creative little details and special touches were a real treat not only for me, but for the guests as well. They made a signature drink for the occasion, custom labels, signs and took care of all the food and decor. We had planned for an outdoor shower, but as luck would have it was a cold rainy day. They switched gears with such ease and made the indoor space just perfect. We didn't have to do anything but enjoy!
