Dog Days of Summer Means Cocktails

Updated: Sep 15, 2020

With just one week of summer holiday season left we thought we would share some fab cocktail ideas that have kept our clients and their guests happy and refreshed.

So go ahead and mix up some fun and keep your

summer state of mind going ... and going and going!!

Moscato Lemonade

In large pitcher, stir together one 750 ml bottle of pink moscato, 6 cups of lemonade, and ½ cup of vodka, pour over ice and then top with a lemon slice.

Grapefruit Gin and Tonic

Place 3 grapefruit rinds in a sturdy glass, sprinkle with sugar and muddle until peels release a bit of liquid. Pour in 3oz of grapefruit juice and 1oz of gin, stir until the sugar dissolves. Remove the grapefruit peels, add 2oz of tonic water and pour over ice and top with a rosemary sprig.

Sparkling Sangria

We like this drink because you don’t really have to follow a recipe and can pick your fav fruit. You can use blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, orange and lemon wedges mixed with one cup of orange juice and a bottle of sweet red wine. Mix it up the day before your party and let it sit in the fridge. Right before serving add one bottle of champagne or prosecco. And voilà a totally delicious drink.

The Paloma

This yummy cocktail is Mexico’s hidden gem!! To make a glass, combine 3oz of grapefruit juice, 1oz of top notch tequila (believe us good tequila makes all the difference), splash of lime juice, two table spoons of simple syrup, 1oz of soda water and pour over ice. Dip rim of glass in course salt, garnish with a grapefruit slice and mint and enjoy!

Aperol Spritz

Mix a bottle of very cold Prosecco with one bottle of aperol add in some soda. If you find aperol too bitter use 3 parts prosecco and 2 parts aperol. Pour in stemmed wine glass filled with ice and add an orange slice. Guaranteed to make you feel like you are sitting on a piazza in Italy!!
